About the game: The first thing that we can notice about The Suicide of Rachel Foster, is that this story is strong in characters. In addition to the two main protagonists played brilliantly by relevant actors, the game presents us with a huge building located in a small town in Montana. The latter, describing an era, the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, has a history, an experience, contains many secrets and above all is constructed in a perfectly credible way. A true tribute to The Shining, Stanley Kubrick’s horror film first appeared in 1980, the Timberline Hotel, echoing the Timberline Lodge, where the film was filmed, will even manage to agonize the player the first minutes by losing him in a maze of corridors with blood-red tapestries. The enigmatic place is, moreover, put forward by a successful photo-realistic artistic direction which confronts us ever more with the harsh reality of the situation.

Scenes are particularly well made and the atmosphere gives you chills. Event the sounds is amazing. I would recommend you listen to the Soundtrack. A real beauty!

Now the game starts a bit slow, you will not see anything after a while and the characters getting to know each other is a great part of the game. Action will get

Too bad, during the game, you will get the impression of being a mere spectator of the events. Despite a very successful introduction, transporting us to the new daily life of Nicole Wilson, the heroine of the game, and her new relationship with Irving, the game quickly shows its limits by taking, from chapter four, a whole new turn. I found confusing why your investigation gives you many clues and at the same time not clear in terms of objectives.

I would perhaps see a novel type of game, because the story is pretty interesting.

Author Details
I am passionate about “Heroic Fantasy” and “Beat Them all” games on Nintendo Game System (I hate SEGA). Now that I am old, I love retro gaming, since I don’t have much time. Feels good to watch endings though…
