Inside the Alien Isolation – Review
Whether you’ve seen the Alien movies or not doesn’t matter, this game takes you on a whole adventure on it’s own, and it’s a thrilling experience!
You play as Amanda Ripley who has been invited to join in on a mission to retrieve a flight recorder from the Nostromo. Ripley is looking for her mother, who went missing 15 years ago, and hopes this flight recorder will provide her with answers. You set course for the impressive space station Sevastopol, with Taylor and Samuels as your side kicks, but before you know it, you are thrown into the game….Taylor and Samuels disappear and all of a sudden, you’re on your own. A sense of dread wells up in you when you realize how scary this game really is. It’s dark, you hear noises, you can’t help it but to feel a little bit paranoid wherever you go….after all… you are trapped here with an apex predator…
The only reason I started playing this game was because a subscriber recomended it to me. I tried it out and it peaked my interest, so I decided to make it into a series. Even though I don’t like scary games my curiosity got the better of me and I started to play…
In this game you are being challenged as a player… did you pay attention to what was said? Do you remember the code? Your survival instinct is put to the test when you have to decide whether to distract the alien or to hide from it. As the game progresses you have to think faster, act quicker and make snap decitions about how you are going to get out alive. Within this game you have to be able to adapt to sudden change as the mechanics shifts at inopportune times.
The game does not let on to what is going to happen next, it continues to surprise with unpredicted jumpscares and plot twists. – If you want to see how I did in this playthrough, be sure to check out my youtube channel!
