F… … Letter to YouTube
This is it, They pulled the plug on our YouTube Channel! Well, it is a hard pill to swallow, but this is life, Bad stuff happens, and I want to express what I feel about it. I have to be grateful and stay positive. I have been on this platform for more than 10 years and have been working and building my channel for the last 4 years.
We have uploaded probably 5000 videos and cumulated a little over 250K views this year with more than 8000 hours of views. So close to getting monetized! It’s been a good time, I have learned so much doing it, and when you passionate about something, you never give up.
YouTube didn’t give me any particular reason, the policy says Scam, Spam or deceptive content. I don’t really know what policy I infringed, probably a lot, but They didn’t care to tell me which ones. The YouTube team is probably too busy protecting their community against my channel and the other bad souls we are. Protecting from what? Exactly? I publish video game content, some may show some mature content which I activate the age restriction. I may have a few links in my description, I wouldnt call it spammy. We all try to make a living, nothing wrong about it and affiliate links is probably the best way to monetize your audience. Violence? Some games are violent and gore, yes but millions of violent contents are up and running fine on YouTube. And you may not know this, but your viewers are not stupid, if they don’t like the content, they can ignore, dislike or send a comment, this is what a social media platform is about. A space for freedom and free speech. I love to get constructed comments, good or bad, but YouTube is not the platform that I used to love to watch anymore.
To advertise channels and grow, we give our budget and access to companies like Promolta and TubeBuddy.
I don’t recommend Promolta by the way, they are probably one of the many reasons my channel got banned.
But I am not here to try to find the reasons, because I don’t have to care anymore. No more uploading content in the middle of the night or Stream video games for this company. They suck so I don’t give a damn anymore.
YouTube is not giving us any reason and a 2nd chance, even though I received the confirmation of the appeal and the decision 3 min later. They really carefully reviewed the case I guess. Such a bad apple I am.
One thing for sure, I won’t give up, I am not the only one and there are other platforms out there to house the content of our channel. This lesson will help me focus with my 2 employees on how to pivot and work differently. Probably going to have to let go one of them, but they don’t know it yet. Oups! Thanks YouTube!
Ok now when I say there are many other platforms out there, the truth is… there are not many lol.
I’m willing to rebuild everything on Rumble, I hope they are different and at least try to work with you, when you make mistakes. Because my team and I were working really hard.
To our viewers from YouTube, Thank you so much for your comments and your likes and time spent. We really appreciate your support and your love. I hope to see you soon on Rumble (we have 4000 videos to upload) or other new channel like Truth and pvp.com
To YouTube I wish you to implode slowly and die hard! Farewell!
