Fort Triumph – The review

A game started in Kickstarter and which ends up coming out, relatively consistent with what it had promised, it is already a small victory. When it is done by a team of a handful of developers, it is even more so. But honestly, the game struggles to be compared to the big names in the genre.

So, yes, there are not the same means behind, but a game of fifteen hours, with limited replayability, an anecdotal multi and a little curious faults is only a small appetizer.

Fort Triumph is a challenging fantasy turn-based tactics game where permanent death is a possibility at any moment. It is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, SteamOS, Mac OS. We had the opportunity to test the game and here is what we thought of it :

Pleasant visual aspects, nice depth in gameplay, entertaining turned-base combat system
Cons
Lack of link between the different gameplay sequences
What We Think
An interesting mix of genre, that would have deserved a better link between the different gameplay sequences, both visually and in the gameplay.
